The 2023 Blue Ridge Jeep Invasion is hosted by the OlllllllO Jeepers group of Lynchburg, VA, and will again be held at the Sedalia Center in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Big Island, Virginia on September 29th through October 1st 2023.
We are working hard to make this year even better! We've added more trail rides, Scenic Tours, and a Light show! We will have a DJ on Friday evening and live bands on Saturday. We will have merch vendors, food trucks, raffles, 50/50, and a beer truck throughout the weekend!
We are a non-profit group and all of the proceeds from this year's event will be donated to The National Center for Healthy Veterans. Come help us support this great cause where residents experience a renewed sense of community and camaraderie, forming lasting bonds of friendship.
Read more about the cause:
The National Center for Healthy Veterans where we believe that community is the primary antidote to isolation, loneliness, and broken relationships. Their private homes in a restorative community setting are designed to ensure both privacy and community, with energy-efficient "tiny homes" that offer single or double occupancy. The village community center provides laundry, cooking, and village interaction, while personal and village gardens allow residents to grow food and connect with the land. The community also offers scenic views and access to hiking, kayaking, and outdoor recreation, nestled inside a working farm with horses and other livestock.
Formerly homeless veterans will not only have a place to live but also a place to thrive and contribute. At the NCHV, veterans have access to wellness resources and programs, including best-practice programs and technologies administered by qualified professionals to achieve comprehensive wellness. The wellness center provides brain science technologies and assessments, physical therapy, pain management, sleep management, performance coaching, faith-based counseling, and life skills programs.
We have a family center and lodge that is focused on family, conferences, and reunification, with 30 rooms for visitors to NCHV. The restaurant serves guests and special events, and our veterans' gift shop highlights NCHV products. We also have an associated farmers market offering farm produce to the community. The family center and lodge are the primary access control to the NCHV property.
